About me… In the last decades I worked in many different places all over Europe, in Germany, Spain and France, dedicating my kitchen journey to learn more about the variations and assemblances of regional traditions and products. In my own restaurant in Berlin/Kreuzberg I tried to realise a straight regional menu, paired with the most interesting natural wines I could find to fit the pallet. My passion for the ocean and traveling introduced me to dishes from all over the world which had a big influence on how I think about food preparation and regional traditions. I like to work fast and percise, if in a bigger team or alone. I have a background in educational science, so I try to find methods and techniques which are approachable for everyone, doesn´t matter what background you have. My time working in the kitchen school Berlin-Mitte showed me how important and beautiful it is to create food together. The process of finding a solution that fits the specific need in any moment, developing this together with everybody present for the job, is a beautiful collective journey that can´t be overrated and is always a pleasure to be part of.

my Approach
My approach to teaching is simple. „Strengthening people, clarifying issues.“ (Hartmut von Hentig). In the kitchen this can mean to look what you got, be aware what you want and be capable of taking on the adventure of combining flavors and yourself. To me it is about finding a system which works for you! Preparation methods are often very similar, it is important to understand the logic behind every move necessary. If you do so, you can transfer this knowledge to every idea you got in your head, you only need to trust yourself in the process. Building up this confidence is often much easier, more enjoyable and effective if you can share this experience with someone else, share the know-how you got, put it all into one pot to create what you aim for. I don´t have a solution for every kitchen problem, but working together can create answers we never thought of on our own. I can show you dishes, tricks and structures that prove to work, but the journey of creating what you are looking for is up to you; and it would be a pleasure for me to be by your side for a small part of this journey.
